From our new 2008 2009 Chevy Tahoe review, and the Tahoe picture
above, this is one of Chevrolet's largest SUVs. New for this
year, the truck comes in three models:
- Tahoe LS, which offers contoured custom cloth seats, and
an available split-folding third-row of seats and Premium
Ride suspension.
- Z71, which comes with features like 17-inch on-/offroad
tires, 17-inch cast-aluminum wheels, skid plates, and a
specially designed luggage rack with rear roller guard that
makes loading and unloading heavy gear easy.
- LT, which features redesigned heated front bucket seats
with standard Custom Leather seating surfaces.
The 2008 2009 Chevy Tahoe is powered by some pretty heavy-duty
engines. The SUV's Vortec 4800 V8 SFI and available Vortec
5300 V8 SFI engines are the most powerful V8 engines in their
class. Some other Tahoe specs:
- The Vortec 4800 provides 275 horsepower at 5200 rpm, and generates 290 pounds-per-foot of torque at 4000 rpm.
- The Vortec 5300 provides 285 horsepower at 5200 rpm, and generates 325 pounds-per-foot of torque at 4000 rpm.
- Both engines are matched to a responsive electronically controlled four-speed automatic transmission that provides
nearly seamless shifts.
- All models feature five-link rear suspension that features two upper control arms, two lower control arms and a track
bar to control side-to-side movement, as well as the new StabiliTrak stability enhancement system.
New for 2008 2009, Tahoe parts even include an available alternative-fuel Vortec 5300 V8 SFI engine, for power that is both
endless and environment-friendly. Whether you're headed to an isolated destination or just churning up mud, all of the 2008 2009
Chevrolet Tahoe Vortec engines are more than up to the task. All Chevy Tahoe reviews note this point clearly - these engines
mean business.
Looking at the 2008 2009 Tahoe picture above, the exterior and
interior features of this truck also set it apart from the
competition. On the outside, the truck boasts an underbody
spare tire, bussed electrical centers, dent-resistant body
panels, and rear side-door hinges. On the inside, the Tahoe
parts include:
- Power adjustable foot pedals
- Second-row bucket seats
- Steering wheel-mounted controls
- Tri-zone climate control
With features like these, it's no wonder that Chevy Tahoe reviews are so positive. Don't take our word for it, though - see for
yourself.
Finally, the Tahoe is safer than you'd expect an SUV to be. New for this year, the truck offers a Passenger Sensing System
for the right front- passenger front air bag, and available driver and right front-passenger side-impact air bags, among other
features. To learn more about Tahoe safety, or to see some of the latest Tahoe pictures, we encourage you to come back to

everything. We value your visit and hope to see you again. Thanks for stopping by.
