A wolf in sheep's clothing, the 2008 2009 Ford Taurus SHO is
incredibly safe yet performance oriented. The car recently
received the government's highest five-star front crash test
rating, and there are a number of other Taurus parts worth
noting, too. New for 2008 2009, the Ford Taurus comes in six different
models:
- Taurus LX
- SE
- SES
- SEL
- SE Wagon
- Taurus SL Wagon
We have information about each of these models here, as well
as information about some of the available 2008 2009 Ford Taurus
SHO body kits, and the available Taurus transmissions. We
hope the information we have here answers all of your questions.
Please let us know.
New for this year, all of the Taurus models share two different
engines:
- The Taurus LX and Taurus SE come standard with a 3.0-liter
FFV 2V V-6 that delivers 155 horsepower at 4,900 rpm
- The Taurus SES, Taurus SE Wagon, and the Taurus SL Wagon
come standard with a 3.0-liter OHC 2V V-6 that delivers
155 horsepower at 4,900 rpm and 200 pounds-per foot of torque
at 5,650 rpm
Along with these engines, 2008 2009 Ford Taurus transmissions
include a number of other features. Some of those features
include standard electronic 4- speed automatic overdrive transaxles,
independent MacPherson struts, and power rack and pinion steering.
With features like these, Taurus parts are just about as good
as they get.
When you drive a family car like the Ford Taurus, design
features make the difference between form and function. On
the exterior of Taurus, parts include:
- Multi-reflector halogen headlamps
- One-piece wagon liftgates
- Luggage racks
- Five-spoke painted aluminum wheels
Inside the cabin, the Taurus continues with the luxury amenities,
including six-passenger seating with cloth bucket seats, 60/40
split- fold rear seat, air conditioning, speed control, rear
underseat heat ducts, rear windshield wiper, and more. Some
of the models even offer grocery bag hooks on the scuff plate
inside the trunk. Then there are the 2008 2009 Ford Taurus body
kits, which enable you to affix spoilers or side rails on
your vehicle. This makes one difference between the Taurus
and other cars.
Another differing point - Taurus safety. Ford used the Taurus
to patent its award-winning Personal Safety System, a system
that includes restraints control module, safety belt pretensioners,
driver's seat position sensor, dual-stage front airbags, front
safety belt usage sensors, energy management retractors, and
front crash test severity sensors, to name a few. To learn
more about this technology, or to read up on additional Taurus
parts that will put you in a position of safety, please be
